Instructions
For Sending Ashes with United
States Postal Service
Your
Funeral Home, Mortuary, or Crematory can assist
you in shipping ashes if you feel uncomfortable
doing it yourself. You can also call us, and we
can walk you through the process step by step.
Read
the USPS Guidelines.
1.
Please
print out this Authorization
Form
and
fill it out.
2.
Please
ship the ashes with the following guidelines:

Include
completely filled out Authorization
Form.
»
In
an envelope, enclose your check or money order,
or cashiers check payable to "Clearwater
Flight Services" for the amount of $300.00
for an unattended scattering. For an attended
scattering the price is an additional $100
per person, limit two people.
»
Include
a copy of your PayPal receipt if using this
payment method.
»
Pack
the cremains in a
sift proof container,
containers will not be returned. The
original plastic bag provided by the crematory
is sufficient for a sift proof container.
»
Put
the sift proof container in a padded shipping
box - your mortuary or funeral home can provide
you with one.
»
Send
registered mail with return receipt service
for your protection - we cannot be held responsible
for the ashes while in transit.

Please request "Registered
Mail" and "Return
Receipt" for your shipment - we cannot
be held responsible for ashes during transit.
Your loved one's ashes
will be scattered at sea usually within 2 weeks
of receipt. We will send you a Memorial Certificate
when we have dispersed the ashes.
USPS
Guidelines:
Cremated
Human Ashes may
only be shipped via the United States Postal Service
(USPS) - Neither Federal Express nor UPS allow
for the shipment of ashes at this time. A
private courier service may be used, although
this can be quite expensive.

USPS has the following regulations, which you
can find in USPS Publication 52:
